Hi friends! So happy to have you here. I'm Sara, and this is my website. I'm a midwest girl, born and raised. I'm a do-er with a love for to-do lists, organization, and completing tasks. My passions lie in building relationships, seeking out opportunities, and seizing the moment. While I take important issues seriously, I'm also very serious about seeing the funny side of life. It's important to me to be lighthearted sometimes, and I value humor in myself and others. My Roles & Responsibilities
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

INTERACTIVE MARKETING INTERN, GO LOCAL INTERACTIVE
During my time at Go Local Interactive, I have served on the Social Media product team. There, I have created social media content calendars for clients' social platforms, scheduled social media messages through Hootsuite scheduling platform, executed monthly client reports to show success of social media campaign and strategized re-branding of Go Local Interactive social media.

MARKETING/EVENT PROMOTION INTERN, KANSAS CITY POWER & LIGHT DISTRICT
The Kansas City Power and Light District is a large outdoor/indoor dining, shopping, and event center in downtown Kansas City, MO. As an intern, my responsibilities included, managing the District social media platforms, strategize promotional events to attract old and new publics to the district, plan and facilitate large-scale events, such as KCPLD 'Dine Downtown'.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS/DEVELOPMENT INTERN, NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION
The National Kidney Foundation is a international non-profit working to raise awareness and monetary donations for kidney disease research. As an intern, my responsibilities included, manage relationships and connections with Board of Directors and public, plan and coordinate Kansas City 'Gift of Giving Gala' valued at $16,000, facilitate and plan 'Wichita Kidney Walk' to raise donations and awareness of Kidney Disease.

MEMBERSHIP VICE PRESIDENT, GAMMA PHI BETA SORORITY
I had the opportunity to serve on the Executive Council as the Membership Vice President. The main goal of my position was to plan and execute formal recruitment. I coordinated and executed recruitment process of 1,000 women, created a public relations plan for 192 chapter members for the year, and increased recruitment quota from 142 to 192 women.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Skills include social media marketing, community building and advertising/promotions. Eager to continue learning about how to provide clients with the most successful social media campaigns.

EVENT DESIGN
Consult with clients to collaboratively design corporate and social events. Has an eye for budget-friendly, creative, and scope of event. Relies immensely on collaboration, organization, and communication.

STRATEGY AND GOAL SETTING
Plan, manage, and execute all campaigns. Setting baseline goals, execution measurements, and maintaining fluidity.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY, MANHATTAN KS
During my four years at K-State, I double majored in Journalism and Mass Communications (emphasis in Public Relations), and American Ethnic Studies, with a minor in Leadership Studies. Involvement included Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, K-State Student Union Ambassador, A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications Student Ambassador, Order of Omega, and K-State Proud.

UNIVERSITY OF CHESTER, CHESTER ENGLAND
In the summer of 2015, I went on a three week faculty-led study abroad trip. We traveled across the country with 12 students to study various careers and topics within public relations and international public relations. We met with professionals in all areas of PR.
